I am a Biomedical Engineering Ph.D. student in the Image Processing lab at McGill University. I obtained my B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems from the University of Tehran in 2011 and my M.Sc. in the same field from Concordia University in 2013. My current research is focused on vascular causes of dementia in Alzheimer’s disease populations. More specifically, I study white matter hyperintensities which are the major MRI expressions of small vessel disease and their effect on cognition.
