I am a Ph.D. candidate in the NeuroImaging and Surgical Technologies (NIST) lab.
Image Analysis of the Diseased Brain
I am interested in developing statistical machine and deep learning algorithms to analyze structural MRI. I would like to apply these methods to various diseased cohorts with neurodegeneration and cognitive impairment such as HIV and Alzheimer’s disease. These techniques have the ability to capture brain abnormalities in diseased populations and identify patient groups that are at highest risk of developing cognitive impairment.
